South Africa’s EFF Cheers HH lifting MALEMA Ban
By Mwila Nsofu
South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighters has welcomed President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA decision to lift the seven year travel ban on its leader JULIUS MALEMA.
In 2017 Former President EDGAR LUNGU declared Mr. MALEMA persona non-grata for standing in solidarity with Mr. HICHILEMA who was then opposition leader during Mr. LUNGU’s reign.
Mr. HICHILEMA was a fierce critic of Mr. LUNGU’s government.
In a statement, the South African opposition EFF says the move is a profound gesture that highlights the spirit of unity and progressive action across Africa.
The Party says with the lifting of the seven year BAN, Mr HICHILEMA has demonstrated his commitment to the ideals of democracy and distancing Zambia from dictatorial practices.
The Opposition Party has since thanked President HICHILEMA and reaffirmed its commitment to building a united and progressive Africa.
And State House Chief Communications Specialist CLAYSON HAMASAKA has told ZNBC news that the UPND government has no issues with the EFF and its leader JULIUS MALEMA.
