Speaker tips Public on Constitution Amendments

Speaker of the National Assembly NELLY MUTTI has encouraged the public to be interactive in the Constitution Amendment process.

Speaking at a media breakfast in Lusaka, Ms. MUTTI said the Constitution Amendment process requires consultation.

She has also dismissed claims by the opposition that the executive is dictating the Constitution Amendment process.

Ms. MUTTI explained that each stage of the amendment process has its mandate where separation of powers is fully exercised.

She has commended Justice Minister PRINCESS KASUNE for giving the Constitution amendment a road map.
