Stakeholders in the North Western Province say the upgrade of the Mutanda-Kasempa -Kaoma Road which connects the province to the Walvis Bay in Namibia will promote trade and boost economic growth.
Government is tomorrow expected to sign the concession agreement through a Public Private Partnership Project for the upgrade of the Mutanda -Kasempa-Kaoma road in Kasempa district of North western province.
Senior Chief KASEMPA has thanked government for actualizing the upgrade of the road.
And Kasempa Town Council Chairperson BRIAN KAKOKANYA said the road will ease the movement of goods from the mines in north western Province to the Walvis Bay in Namibia.
Meanwhile some transporters talked to by ZNBC’s TAMARA MUSWALA in Kasempa and parts of Kaoma said they are forced to travel long hours on the road because of its poor state.
And residents of Kasempa are excited with the recent announcement by President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA to upgrade and tar the Mutanda Kasempa Kaoma Road.
The residents said the road will be a shorter route to Lusaka and Western Province.
