Stakeholders Condemn Attempted Witchcraft Against HH

Stakeholders have expressed disappointment in individuals who allegedly attempted to harm President Hakainde Hichilema using charms.
Luapula Province Council of Chiefs Chairperson Chief Chisunka condemned witchcraft as a harmful practice that should not be tolerated.
In an interview with ZNBC, Chief Chisunka urged the government to take firm action against those engaging in such activities.
He also called for a review of the Witchcraft Act to define how to address similar incidents. Chief Chisunka noted that many people doubt the existence of witchcraft, but this incident proves otherwise.
Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia Executive Director Andrew Mwenda emphasized that witchcraft should not be tolerated in a Christian nation citing its condemnation in the Bible.
Despite its long history, Bishop Mwenda asserted that witchcraft should not be allowed to continue.
