Stakeholders condemn witchcraft
By Alice Lubasi
Some stakeholders in the country have condemned the alleged plans by two witchdoctors, who allegedly wanted to use charms to harm President Hakainde Hichilema.
Chikondi Foundation President, Bishop John Mambo, says the alleged acts are inhumane and should not be tolerated.
Bishop Mambo says politics should be used as a means to offer checks and balances and not lead to killing one another.
Chililabombwe Ministers Fellowship Representative, Pastor Emmanuel Mundia, says Zambia is a Christian nation, hence the need to live up to that standard.
He says the fear of God should be at the center of every argument, including politics.
Beacon of Truth Church Senior Pastor, Reverend Jimmy Ng’ambi, says the church condemns the mastermind behind the two witchdoctors.
Reverend Ng’ambi says witchdoctors cannot move unless instructed, hence confirming that they were ordered to do so.
Reverend Royd Mwandu says it is unfortunate that there could be people planning such inhumane acts on the head of state.
On Friday, police, in collaboration with the Anti-Terrorism Unit and the Immigration Department, disclosed that they had arrested two witchdoctors who allegedly wanted to use charms to harm President Hichilema.
A clergyman on the Copperbelt has described yesterday’s revelations that two male suspects have been arrested for trying to harm the head of state using witchcraft as unfortunate.
Bishop Salatio Jere, the overseer of Kingsgate International in Mufulira, says it is the duty of the church to always pray for the head of state because it is God who put him in that position to govern.
He told ZNBC News in Ndola that the church will pray for President Hakainde Hichilema so that the enemy may not fulfill his plans to harm him.
Bishop Jere said President Hichilema has a duty to rule Zambia without any disturbances.
