Storm Leaves Destruction in Kitwe’s Zamtan

A storm has left a trail of destruction in Kitwe’s Zamtan compound with houses collapsed and a police post partially damaged.

And affected residents have appealed to the government for assistance to help them rebuild their homes.

One of the residents BEAUTY CHISENGE says many are unable to rebuild their houses and require government intervention.

And, GEORGE MALUPAMBE noted the need for urgent repairs of the roof of the ZAMTAN police post which was almost blown off.

Meanwhile, Kafue Ward Councilor, STANFORD MAKANI said government through the office of the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit in Kitwe have been informed and are currently assessing the situation.
