Sweden to assist Zambia in dealing with drought
ZANIS-Sweden has pledged to continue rendering assistance to Zambia in the wake of the effects of drought.
Swedish Ambassador to Zambia and Special Representative to COMESA, JOHAN HALLENBORG says the impact of drought facing the country is challenging and requires concerted efforts to address.
Mr. HALLENBORG adds that his country will continue to support initiatives that aim at promoting the use of clean energy to mitigate the effects of climate change.
The Swedish Ambassador said this when he graced the graduation ceremony for participants who underwent training in solar PV system design and installation at the National Institute of Public Administration -NIPA.
And International Labour Organisation Country Director for Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique, WELLINGTON CHIBEBE has urged graduates to utilise skills they have acquired.
Meanwhile, Kafue Gorge Regional Training Centre Head of Training, BRIGHT SEPISO, says the course was designed to equip participants with knowledge and understanding on Solar PV System Design and Installation.
