Teachers told to embrace new curriculum

Teachers across the country have celebrated Teachers Day which is observed on October 4.
And Education Minister, DOUGLAS SYAKALIMA has urged teachers to embrace the implementation of the new curriculum.
Mr. SYAKALIMA says the new education curriculum is designed to promote 21st Century skills that align with the needs of the economy.
He said this during the commemoration of the World Teachers Day in Lusaka today.
Meanwhile, Teaching Service Commission Member, RONALD HICHIBULO urged the teaching fraternity to amplify their voices on issues that affect their ability to deliver education that meets the nation’s expectations.
And, NUPPEZ President, VICTOR MUYUMBA has recognized the government’s efforts to improve teachers’ conditions of service and the education sector in general.
