Three people have been arrested in Lusaka, in connection with a case of abduction, which allegedly happened on February 4, 2025, around 12:00 hours in Kabwata-Chilenje area.
In this case, LUCY MUSHABATI, aged 26, of National Heroes Stadium, and NCHIMUNYA MALAMBO, aged 32, of Libala South, were allegedly abducted by WENDY MUTALE.
Police Spokesperson, RAE HAMOONGA has confirmed and identified the suspects as WENDY MUTALE, aged 26 and famously known as Mrs. KENNEDY, of Meanwood Vona Valley.
Mr. HAMOONGA has named the other suspects as ENNIE CHIFWALO, aged 30, of Kamwala South, and CYNTHIA LONGWANI, aged 31, of Chingwele Turn Off, SOS area.
He has explained that preliminary findings indicate that Ms. MUSHABATI and Ms. MALAMBO were abducted on the material day and taken to Ms. MUTALE’s house, where they were allegedly beaten, locked up, and had their phones confiscated.
Mr. HAMOONGA says the abduction stemmed from allegations by Ms. MUTALE that Ms. MUSHABATI was romantically involved with her husband.
