Three Suspected MPOX Cases Test Negative
The three suspected cases of MPOX that were reported yesterday have tested negative.
Zambia National Public Health Institute Risk Communication and Communication Engagement Coordinator, Kabukabu Akufuna, says the three people have been advised to still isolate, although they are not infectious.
Ms. Akufuna says it is important to isolate until the rash that caused suspicion for Mpox completely clears.
She told ZNBC News that there is one suspected case of Mpox on the Copperbelt.
Meanwhile, Ms. Akufuna said six new cases of cholera have been recorded on the Copperbelt, four in Chililabombwe and two in Chingola.
