Two children have drowned in a Well

Two children aged three and four have drowned in a well in Ndola on the Copperbelt.
The minors, COMFORT MULEKWA and MOSES SICHONE, allegedly fell into a well while playing around 18 hours yesterday.
It is believed that their parents became suspicious after noticing that it was getting late and the two were nowhere to be seen.
In statement released to ZNBC news in Kitwe, Copperbelt Police Commissioner PEACEWELL MWEEMBA said after some time, the parents started searching for the children and later reported the matter to Mapalo police post at about 20:00 hours.
And by 22:00 hours, information went round about children drowning in a Well and when the parents rushed there, they found the two minors being retrieved from the Well by people within the neighbourhood.
Meanwhile police in Kasumbalesa have apprehended seven male Congolese Juveniles, who are members of a gang known as vagabond, for Assault.
The seven were apprehended after they attempted to steal oranges from a trader who they also assaulted.
The seven are in police custody.
