Two Lusaka Orphanages Shut Down
By Lucky Phiri
The House of Moses and the Bill and Bette Bryant orphanages in Lusaka have been closed.
This follows the successful relocation of all children to their birth families, foster homes, or adoptive parents.
The announcement was made by Alliance for Children Everywhere in Zambia, the organisation, which was running the facilities.
And Community Development Permanent Secretary, ANGELA KAWANDAMI has commended the alliance for its dedication and commitment to child welfare.
Ms. KAWANDAMI said this through her Chief Social Welfare Officer, MORRIS MOONO, during the closure of the orphanages.
