UPND in Chawama Urges Church to Help Rehabilitate Youths from Addiction
By Wilson Mulinda
The UPND in Chawama has called on the church to take an active role in rehabilitating youths struggling with alcohol and substance abuse.
UPND Lusaka Province vice Youth Chairperson, Nonde Simasote, has expressed concern over the rising number of young people losing their potential to addiction.
Mr. Simasote has urged youths to become agents of development by forming cooperatives and taking advantage of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to improve their livelihoods.
He was speaking during a church service at Jesus Anointed Ministries Presbyterian Church in Chawama, where he made a donation to the church.
Mr. Simasote noted that the church wants to expand its facilities and establish a business venture to empower its young members.
