Governor of Victoria State in Australia, MARGARET GARDNER, has underscored the need to enhance bilateral ties with Zambia.
Professor GARDNER says deepening Government-to-Government and people-to-people connections, is pivotal in boosting economic bilateral relations between Zambia and Australia.
Professor GRADNER said this when Zambia’s High Commissioner to Australia and New Zealand, ELIAS MUNSHYA called on her in Victoria.
And Dr. MUNSHYA emphasised the importance of fostering connections through business collaborations, cultural exchanges, and mutual investments.
He highlighted Zambia’s abundant natural resources and the significant presence of the Zambian Diaspora in Australia as potential catalysts for such partnerships.
Dr. MUNSHYA expressed optimism about the discussed initiatives and the possibility of forging a sister-state relationship between Zambia and Victoria.
This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC News by First Secretary, Press and Public Relations at the Zambia High Commission in Australia and New Zealand, CHARLES MUCHOLO.
