Volunteers celebrate full-time jobs at Maina Soko Medical Centre

Twenty-One health workers who were volunteering at Maina Soko Military Medical Centre have been given full time jobs.
The health workers, who comprise 20 nurses and one plumber, will be deployed to various facilities across the country.
Zambia National Service -ZNS- Commander Lieutenant General MALITI SOLOCHI says the newly employed health workers will undergo military training.
General SOLOCHI says the jobs are a gesture of appreciation to the volunteers for their selfless service.
He said this when he presented hampers to New Year babies at the Hospital in Lusaka today.
General SOLOCHI said the service will continue to create jobs, especially for volunteers who have shown solidarity with patients.
He also pledged continued support for infrastructure development and equipment upgrades at the facility to enhance its capacity.
And Maina Soko Medical Centre Commandant, LEVY MUCHEMWA, reaffirmed management’s commitment to delivering quality health services.
