
Women’s inclusion vital for economic diversification – VEEP

Vice President MUTALE NALUMANGO says women must actively participate in key sectors for the country’s economic diversification to succeed.
Mrs. NALUMANGO has stressed the importance of creating more platforms to empower women and help them build resilience in contributing to the nation’s development.
The Vice President made these remarks at the Stanbic Anakazi Networking Gala Dinner in Lusaka last night.
Mrs. NALUMANGO also called for stronger measures to address the alarming rise in child defilement cases, emphasizing that both girls and boys need better protection through tougher penalties.
Meanwhile, Stanbic Bank Chief Executive Officer, MWINDWA SIAKALIMA, applauded the government’s efforts to increase women’s participation in leadership roles.
He also reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to boosting financial support and capacity-building initiatives aimed at uplifting women’s lives.
