WWF builds dam for People in Mwanachingwala’s Chiefdom
The World Wide Fund WWF working with the community has constructed an 18,000 cubic meter dam for the people of Mwanachingwala Chiefdom.
This is one of the interventions meant to respond to climate change.
WWF Water Resources Management Specialist O’BRIAN MWAANGA says the facility will ensure water is preserved for domestic use and help livestock.
Meanwhile, the traditional leadership of Mwanachingwala says they are indebted for the development of a sustainable water source.
He said the dam will promote the growth of the livestock sector which has faced a challenge due to limited water..
