Vice President MUTALE NALUMANGO has challenged youths to remove stigma against mental health, and devise mechanisms to end alcohol and substance abuse.
Mrs. NALUMANGO says the country’s future remains in the hands of the youths, calling on them to use their voice to inspire, skills to innovate, and energy to build the nation.
Speaking when she graced the Youth day celebrations in Lusaka, Mrs. NALUMANGO advised youths to stay focused and draw motivation from those that have succeeded.
She said government is committed to supporting youths by investing in education and skills training, and called on them to take advantage of skills component under Constituency Development Fund- CDF- to uplift themselves.
Meanwhile, Lusaka Province Minister SHEAL MULYATA, who was represented by Green Economy and Environment Minister MIKE MPOSHA, said government will give the necessary support to youths to achieve full potential.
And, United Nations UN Representative JAMES WAKIAGA said the UN is keen on investing in youths to bring their ideas to life.
