ZAMBEEF Wheat Flour Milling Plant commissioned

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has commissioned the 12 Million United States Dollar ZAMBEEF Wheat Flour Milling Plant in Mpongwe District on the Copperbelt Province.

The newly commissioned wheat Plant is expected to produce 50,000 metric tonnes of wheat flour per year.

And speaking after Commissioning the flour plant, President HICHILEMA said the new wheat milling plant will contribute to ensuring the country meets the target of producing One million metric tonnes of wheat flour.

The President further called for partnership between ZAMBEEF and small scale farmers in the area to increase productivity.

President HICHILEMA also urged banks to work with ZAMBEEF and Small Scale farmers to ensure Credit Capital is made available.

And ZAMBEEF Chief Executive Officer FAITH MUKUTU said the company aims to boost the country’s food production.
