
Zambia, China Sign $26m Grant Agreement

Zambia has signed a 26 million dollars economic and technical cooperation grant agreement with China.
Finance and National Planning Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane says the resources will be channeled towards the Agriculture, education, heath, forest, and water sectors among others.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, Dr. Musokotwane said the agreement underscores the commitment to fostering economic growth and sustainable development between the two countries.
He said the Ministry will work to ensure that the funds are disbursed appropriately to the right sectors, while focusing more on attracting trade and investment.
Meanwhile, Chinese Embassy Charge D’ Affairs Wang Shen said China is pleased to see Zambians benefit from its assistance, as it continues its partnership with Zambia.
Mr. Wang said China is open to more partnerships with Zambia, as the diplomatic ties between the two countries continue to be strengthened.
