Zambia, Dominican Republic sign tourism MOU
Zambia and Dominican Republic have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding -MOU- aimed at enhancing cooperation in the field of tourism.
The signing was witnessed by Tourism Minister, RODNEY SIKUMBA and Tourism Minister for the Dominican Republic, DAVID COLLADO.
The agreement follows the joint communiqué signed during the 79th United Nations General Assembly -UNGA- between the two nations.
And, Mr SIKUMBA expressed Zambia’s enthusiasm for the MOU, adding that the Zambian government’s commitment to not only sign but actively implement the agreement.
Meanwhile, Mr COLLADO conveyed his satisfaction in reaching the milestone, highlighting the importance of collaboration in the tourism sector.
Mr SIKUMBA is attending the inaugural Central America and Caribbean Forum (CAM CAF) at the Paradisus Hotel in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC by First Secretary Press and Public Relations at the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Washington- DC CHARLES TEMBO.
