Zambia removes 76 Ethiopians over law breach

The Department of Immigration has removed 76 Ethiopian nationals for allegedly violating Zambian immigration laws.
Department Spokesperson, NAMATI NSHINKA has confirmed saying the removal exercise was undertaken on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
He has stated that the removal follows the court processes involving the suspects, aged between 15 and 29, on charges of illegal entry and unlawful stay.
Mr. NSHINKA has explained that the suspects committed the offences in Lusaka, Muchinga and Central provinces.
He added that the removals are part of ongoing efforts to rid the country of illegal immigrants.
