Zambia set to start manufacturing car batteries

Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry, CHIPOKA MULENGA, says Zambia is set to start manufacturing car batteries next year in a bid to substitute importation and enhance industry capacity.
Mr. MULENGA has highlighted that test trials are ongoing to revamp Zambia’s car battery manufacturing sector.
He said this during the Zambia Institute of Marketing Copperbelt Regional Conference in Kitwe.
Speaking at the same event, Zambia Institute of Marketing President, MWEWA BESA, said ZIM is making significant strides to make the Marketing profession a strategic driver of Zambia’s development.
Mr. BESA explained that ZIM is expanding its horizons in promoting industry best practice and innovative leadership, critical to creating a favourable and competitive business environment.
