ZESCO Increases power supply hours

ZESCO has today increased power supply hours from five to seven hours.

The adjustment aims to enhance service reliability by optimizing power imports and maximizing contributions from Independent Power Producers wherever feasible.

In a statement to ZNBC news, ZESCO Corporate Affairs Department says while ZESCO is committed to maintaining the power rationing schedule, occasional changes may occur due to factors like power import availability or unexpected challenges.

ZESCO says when this happens, the Power company will share real-time updates via SMS, the ZESCO Facebook page, and other communication channels.

The Company has since urged customers experiencing outages longer than 24 hours to report them immediately, as this may indicate a technical issue requiring urgent attention.
