ZESCO makes headway in restoring power at Vic Falls Power Station

Zesco has made substantial headway in restoring the Victoria Falls Power Station to its maximum production capacity after a generator tripped on 22nd June 2024.

ZESCO says the power station, which has a capacity of 108 megawatts, is generating 90 megawatts as of today.

The Corporation is currently working to restore the power station to its maximum capacity.

Earlier ZESCO Spokesperson MATONGO MAUMBI told ZNBC NEWS that the incident has lead to ZESCO extending power rationing .
