ZESCO Ndola Girls Unbeaten in 2024/2025 Season
By Jack Ng’uni
ZESCO Ndola Girls remain unbeaten in the 2024/2025 Eden University Women Super League campaign.
The team has beaten Zanaco Ladies Football team in the first game of the return of the league from the mid-season break, tallying the numbers to 20 games unbeaten courtesy of Penelope Mulombwa’s first-half goal.
ZESCO Ndola Girls are sitting at the summit of the log standings with 58 points, holding a 17-point gap over second-placed Red Arrows.
Speaking ahead of the second leg fixtures, ZESCO Ndola Girls Coach William Zulu says the league is still open, noting that the teams below them are still in the title race.
Zulu highlights that the team will only have chances of winning the league if they win at least 8 games of the reverse fixtures of the league.
He has further urged his players to work hard if they want to win the league this season, taking it away from Green Buffaloes Women’s team that has won for 10 consecutive years.
Coach Zulu also believes Penelope Mulombwa will win the Eden University Women’s Super League golden boot, as she now sits on 18 goals.
