ZNBC Provincial studios to be funded – MWEETWA

Government says it will prioritize funding for the completion of the ZNBC Provincial studios in the 2025 National budget.

Information and Media Minister CORNELIUS MWEETWA says Government will also ensure the ZNBC Provincial studios become operation.

Mr. MWEETWA says President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has directed that the studios should be completed and take services closer to the people.

He says the provincial studios are an important tool for government to be able to get feedback and engage with citizens in far flung areas on any issues of governance.

Speaking when he checked on the digital transformation equipment in Lusaka, Mr MWEETWA said Government is concerned that the equipment has been stored for the longest time and may get damaged without use.

Meanwhile, ZNBC Director General BERRY LWANDO said the corporation is eager to start operations in all provinces as it carries out its mandate.

And Presidential Delivery Unit -PDU- Head Communication and Outreach BESA KYANAMINA said the unit is happy to witness a push for the project to be completed.
