Copper Princesses are champions of 2024 COSAFA U17
The Copper Princesses have been crowned 2024 Under-17 COSAFA Girls Champions after humiliating Lesotho 15-0 in the final played today.
Mercy Chipasula was the standout star, netting an astonishing seven goals.
Masela Sekeseke bagged a hat-trick with goals in the 4th, 57th, and 60th minutes, while Hellen Banda added two goals in the 6th and 75th minutes.
Lilian Mwenda and Janet Chirwa joined the scoring spree, finding the back of the net in the 42nd, 82nd, and 85th minutes, before Wendy Mwikisa completed the demolition of Lesotho.
The Copper Princesses are now the most successful team in the Under-17 Girls category, having won it twice.
