COSAFA: Copper Queen through to Semis

The Copper Queens have booked a place in the semi finals of the 2024 COSAFA WOMEN’S Championship after thrashing Comoros Seven goals to Nil.

The Copper Queens have set up a semi final against Malawi.

Copper Queens new comer FRIDAH MUKOMA, who opened the flood gates, bagged a hat trick with goals in the 6th , 9th and 74th minute.

OCUMBA LUBANJI compensated for her missed penalty by scoring two goals with REGINA CHANDA and CHARITY MUBANGA also adding their names on the score sheet.

And Copper Queens Coach FLORENCE MWILA is happy with the win especially that most of the new players accounted for themselves very well.

MWILA said the changes to the starting line up ensured that all the players have a feel of the tournament but.

And Comoros Head Coach ANISSA MAOULIDA said she will continue building the team which has improved this year.

Meanwhile, FRIDAH MUKOMA is happy to have scored a hat- trick in her first COSAFA Women’s Championship.
