Musonda’s “dream come true” victory

Scorer of Zambia’s lone goal in the Ivory Coast encounter, KENNEDY MUSONDA has described the team’s qualification to the 2025 AFCON tournament as a dream come true.
MUSONDA last evening found the back of the net in the 43rd minute to fire Zambia to victory as the Chipolopolo booked a place at the AFCON finals consecutively.
MUSONDA says his desire is to give better performance and help the team attain its goals.
And Midfielder EMMANUEL BANDA says it took team work for Zambia to earn qualification to the tournament.
BANDA says the desire of the team is to consecutively qualify to the tournament adding that they have learnt a number of lessons from the 2023 edition where they failed to make it past the group stage.
He says he wants to replicate the good performance during the qualifiers when the team plays in Morocco next year.
Sports Minister ELVIS NKANDU has congratulated the Chipolopolo boys for qualifying to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Sports minister said it was not an easy task especially that the group they were in had good teams.
He said the qualification has not only made the government proud but also the country.
NKANDU paid tribute to the players, technical bench and FAZ for ensuring the team booked a spot at next year’s event.
