Mansa Airport set to transform Luapula Province

Government says the construction of Mansa Airport in Luapula Province will enhance development and attract investments to the region.

Luapula Province Permanent Secretary MIGHTY MUMBA says the Airport will have modern aviation facilities and an expanded runway.

Mr. MUMBA has told ZNBC news that the region has seen an increase in the number of investors and passengers flying in and out of Luapula province.

He said the refurbished airport will also allow bigger planes to land which will attract international flights from the Democratic Republic of Congo and elsewhere.

And Mansa District commissioner IREEN CHIVWETA said the new airport will boost tourism and create employment for people in Luapula.
