U17 COSAFA Girls: Zambia demolish Mauritius 10-nil

Zambia has thrashed Mauritius 10-nil at the ongoing 2024 COSAFA Under-17 Girls’ Championships in South Africa.
Zambia’s attacking dominance was on full display, with NATASHA NKAKA setting the tone early by scoring in the 12th minute and bagging her second at 45 minutes just before the halftime whistle.
MERCY CHIPASULA added to the tally with two goals in the 13th and 41st minutes, while GRACE PHIRI found the back of the net in the 15th minute.
MASELA SEKESEKE was quite the performer, with goals in the 26th, 43rd, completing her hat trick in the 71st.
SEKESEKE went on to seal her brilliant performance with an 81st-minute strike from an opportunity created by MERCY CHIPASULA.
Mauritius added to their woes with an own goal by PRINCESS SIMIETTE in the 32nd minute which extended Zambia’s lead.
The Copper Princesses have sent a clear message to their competitors with their dominant performance as they set their sights on lifting the COSAFA trophy once again.
