HH to engage traditional leaders to make land available for commercial farming

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says he will continue engaging traditional leaders to create designated areas for commercial farming in order to restore food security in the country.
Mr. HICHILEMA says to combat the current food insecurity, there is a need to devise mechanisms that are climate smart to help mitigate the effects of climate change.
He says detrimental acts of farming near the river banks must be stopped to avoid further damage to the water resources.
The President was speaking to journalists before departure from Sekute chiefdom.
He also emphasised the need for Zambians to embrace unity, peace, security and stability to drive the country’s development agenda.
The President also wants Zambians to embrace hard work to achieve improved production.
