HH tells UPND members not to relent
By Joy Nyambe
President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has urged UPND members not to relent but continue mobilising the party.
President HICHILEMA says continued mobilisation is what pushed the UPND into power after 23 years of resilience in the opposition.
The President says the party must continue to mobilise and deliver the right messages to the people.
President HICHILEMA has also urged party members not to be swayed by social media messages meant to distract them.
The President said this when he relaunched the UPND party mobilisation at the UPND Secretariat in Lusaka today.
The President said the UPND has achieved so much in the three years of being in power.
President HICHILEMA cited the debt restructuring, the employment of close to 50 thousand teachers, introduction of free education, reintroduction of meal allowance as among the successes of the UPND.
And UPND Secretary General BATUKE IMENDA said prayers have been called for tomorrow for God to intervene in the drought crisis.
Mr. IMENDA said the vision and dream of the party is being disturbed by the drought, hence the need to seek divine intervention.
Meanwhile, UPND Lusaka province chairman OBVIOUS MWALITETA said the province is proud of President HICHILEMA’s achievements.
Mr. MWALITETA said the President’s works have touched many lives.
