Lusaka gets tough on underage drinking
The Lusaka City Council says it will intensify patrols in bars and nightclubs in order to curb underage drinking.
Council Public Relations Manager, Chola Mwamba, says underage drinking tends to be on the rise during the festive season.
Ms. Mwamba says it is unfortunate that bars, nightclubs, and liquor stores also ignore the law on underage drinking.
She was speaking in an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka.
Some residents expressed happiness with the council police’s efforts to control underage drinking.
