Haimbe sponsors football tournament
Lusaka Central Constituency Member of Parliament, Mulambo Haimbe, has sponsored a football tournament for young men in Lusaka’s Bauleni area.
The tournament aims to provide local youths with an opportunity to showcase their talents and potentially pursue professional football careers, both locally and internationally.
Speaking to ZNBC, Mr. Haimbe emphasized that the initiative aligns with President Hakainde Hichilema’s vision of promoting talent identification.
He highlighted the importance of talent identification as key to fostering growth in community sports.
Tournament Chief Organiser, Mwanza Banda, said over 26 teams are participating in the tournament being held at Bauleni and Queensmead Stadium.
Banda expressed hope that the event will inspire more young people to engage in sports.
