Govt to Finalize Appointment of New NSCZ Board by Q1 2025

The government says it is finalizing the appointment of a new National Sports Council of Zambia (NSCZ) Board.

Sports Minister Elvis Nkandu says the new board will be unveiled before the end of the first quarter of this year.

Nkandu said once board members are appointed, it will increase the efficiency of the council to address various issues concerning sport.

He told ZNBC News that the government wants the National Sports Council to actively conduct its mandate, which is why a new Chief Executive Officer was appointed while waiting for board members.

Nkandu said most issues will now be tabled with the council’s board before being elevated to the ministry if needed.
