Dubai Port World eyes Zambia for Logistics

Dubai Port -DP World, a global logistics company based in United Arab Emirates has expressed interest to make Zambia a hub to monitor logistics in Africa.
DP World Chief Executive Officer for Sub-Saharan Africa MOHAMED AOOJEE says the firm plans to expand its fleet and tracking services and considers Zambia as a key partner to succeed.
Speaking when he met Transport and Logistics Minister FRANK TAYALI in Lusaka, Mr. ALBANNA also said the organization would like to share with Zambia how best to improve efficiency and the coast effectiveness of the logistics sector.
And Mr. TAYALI, said Zambia is eager to work with the Dubai Port -DP World to enhance transport and logistics efficiency in the sector.
Later, Mr. ALBANNA paid a courtesy call on Finance and National Planning Minister SITUMBEKO MUSOKOTWANE.
And Dr. MUSOKOTWANE said it is important to increase the country’s logistics sector capacity in view of increased investment in the mining sector.
