The Ministries of Education and Health have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at enhancing school health and nutrition in the country.
Speaking during the signing ceremony of the MoU, Ministry of Education Permanent Secretary Noriana Muneku said the program will help break barriers that hinder health and education services, especially in rural areas.
Mrs. Muneku says the MoU will ensure that learners have advanced school health services, including those living with disabilities.
Health Permanent Secretary George Sinyangwe said the partnership between the two ministries will reduce preventable diseases among learners.
Dr. Sinyangwe said the MoU will also foster good health engagements among learners in carrying out activities that enhance their development.
