Elijah Lungu Appeals FAZ Decision to Invalidate ZPL Chairmanship Application
By Chansa Kunda
Zambian Premier League (ZPL) Chairperson aspiring candidate Elijah Lungu says he will appeal the decision by the FAZ electoral committee to invalidate his application.
Lungu, who is the founder of the ZISD Women’s team, says being declared ineligible to contest on grounds of insufficient experience is questionable, as he has been serving and attending all council meetings since the club was established over 11 years ago.
Speaking to ZNBC Sports News at Football House when collecting his letter, Lungu called for fairness and a level playing field in handling the electoral process so that many are not disadvantaged.
Lungu and Kephas Katongo, who are both vying for the Zambian Premier League (ZPL) Chairmanship, had their applications thrown out after failing to meet requirements.
