FAZ Confirms May 9 for Elections

The Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- has set May 9, 2025 as the date for the Elective Annual General Meeting.

This follows the cancellation of the elections that were scheduled for March 29, 2025.

FAZ President ANDREW KAMANGA says the elections will be held in Kabwe at Misuku Hotel.

KAMANGA says it is hoped that this time around councillors will avoid taking football matters to court as there are rules that govern football and should be followed as regulated by FIFA.

He said this in the weekly Presidential Corner publication.

KAMANGA has since appealed to candidates to remain civil and truthful in their engagements with their electorate.

He has further urged the Under 17 Women’s Football team to ensure that they qualify for the 2025 World Cup by beating Benin in the reverse fixture.

Heading into the reverse fixture with 2-1 advantage, the team will take on Benin to be played in Lomé, Togo, as that country does not have a CAF approved stadium.
