1,200 athletes to participate in 15 disciplines at Youth Games

Over 1,200 athletes from ten provinces will compete in 15 Sport disciplines during the 2024 Ndola National Youth Games.
Youth, Sport and Arts Minister, ELVIS NKANDU says the games that have been rebranded are significant in laying a foundation that will see continuity in talent identification and Sport Development in Zambia.
NKANDU says the games have been rebranded to suit International standards as well as equip Federations to identify and prepare athletes for the 2025 regional youth games among other events coming up.
He was speaking during the launch of the 2024 National Youth Games in Lusaka.
And National Sports Council of Zambia -NSCZ- Director SOMBWA MUSUNSA has called for various entities to come on board and offer financial support as the games require a hefty budget to be successfully held.
The games are expected to run from October 25th to 27th 2024 in Ndola on the Copperbelt under the theme Inspire, Compete and Conquer.
