The directive is from the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority – ZICTA-, the mobile phone service industry regulator.
ZICTA Corporate Affairs Manager, HANFORD CHAABA has confirmed, saying the outage lasted for 3 hours and affected Lusaka, Southern, Western, Central and Eastern provinces.
Mr. CHAABA says the network provider has also been directed to put in place mechanisms, aimed at resolving the recurring network outages and to strictly adhere to the consumer protection guidelines.
