Barbara Banda shortlisted for Women’s Player of the Year 2024 CAF Awards.

Zambia and Orlando Pride striker BARBARA BANDA has made the top three short list for the Women’s Player of the Year 2024 CAF Awards.

She will face off against Nigerian goalkeeper CHIDOZIE NNADOZIE and Morocco’s SANAA MSSOUDY for the prestigious award.

Banda is also the winner for the BBC Women’s Player of the Year 2024 and became the first African player to ever be included in the FIFPRO Women’s World 11.

Meanwhile, the Copper Queens missed out on the top three shortlist for the Women’s National Team of the Year in the 2024 CAF Awards, with Nigeria, Morocco, and South Africa making the cut.

The winners will be announced on 16 December 2024, in Marrakesh, Morocco.
