The players include Brazil’s all-time leading goal scorer MARTA, 2023 Balloon d’0r winner AITANA BONMATI of Spain, 34-year-old veteran French defender WENDIE RENARD and 19-year-old Colombian young star LINDA CAICEDO among others.
BANDA 24, joined American side, Orlando Pride from Chinese club Shanghai Shengli in March in a 740, 000 US dollars move and she has justified her price, becoming the first player in the history of the division to score 11 goals in 11 games.
The top scorer is heading to France with Zambia for her second Olympic Games.
In Tokyo, in 2020, the Copper Queens’ captain became the first player in Olympic history to score back-to-back hat-tricks – doing so in the group stage against the Netherlands and China.
