Chinese firm interested in opening Lithium battery plant
A Chinese firm, Better Technology Group Limited has expressed interest in establishing a Lithium battery manufacturing plant in Southern province which is expected to create 3000 jobs.
Better Life General Manager LIU DEWEI says once established the firm will produce over 3 million batteries per year.
Mr DEWEI says this will provide alternative energy’s source for the domestic market to mitigate the current electricity deficit in the country.
He said it will also enhance the county’s exports, and contribute to the national gross domestic production- GDP.
He said this in Xiamen, China, when Southern Province Minister CREDO NANJUWA visited the facility.
And Mr. NANJUWA has assured the company of government’s support to ensure the investment opportunity is actualised.
