CHIPOKA MULENGA urges Investors to partner with locals
(ZANIS) Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister CHIPOKA MULENGA says government is encouraging the private investors from across the globe to work with Zambians in joint ventures.
Mr. MULENGA notes that the government has changed the country’s investment model to a pro-private sector driven economy.
And Mr. MULENGA says President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has shown leadership in terms of fiscal management.
He said this during a special interview with Nikkei Asia, a prominent Japanese media and world’s largest financial newspaper in Tokyo, Japan.
Later during a bilateral meeting with Mitsui and Company Limited, Mr. MULENGA assured the company that the government is now applying speed on the implementation of projects.
He urged the private sector in Japan to partner with the Zambian government for transformation of the country’s agriculture sector and food supply chain.
Mitsui and Company Limited General Manager, NOZOMU KOBAYASHI acknowledged that Zambia is a conducive entry point for investment into Africa.
Mitsui & Company signed an MOU with ETG Parrogate FZC Group to establish a joint venture of agricultural product business.
