By Jack Ng’uni
Chipolopolo players were in top form yesterday, delivering standout performances across Europe and Africa.
Striker Edward Chilufya stole the spotlight for Danish side FC Midtjylland in a mid-season friendly against Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg.
Coming off the bench at halftime, Chilufya wasted no time making his presence felt, scoring an equalizer in the 50th minute with a composed finish.
He later found the net again with the winning goal in the 73rd minute, securing a 3-2 victory.
Kings Kangwa continued his fine form for Hapoel Be’er Sheva in the Israeli State Cup.
The midfield maestro found the back of the net as Be’er Sheva dismantled Hapoel Hadera 6-nil in the tournament’s Round of 16.
Kangwa played the full 90 minutes, adding to his impressive tally of six goals in eight matches across all competitions this season.
Elsewhere in Africa, Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba was also in action in the Libyan Premier League.
The midfield playmaker featured for 45 minutes as his side, Al Nasr, played out a goalless draw against Al Tahaddy.
