Chipolopolo U20 coach picks 20 players for COSAFA

Chipolopolo Under 20 football team coach BOYD MULWANDA has named his final squad for the coming under 20 COSAFA tournament in Mozambique, scheduled for September 26th to October 5th.

MULWANDA has picked four players from the U20 AFCON 2023; goalkeepers are LEVINSON BANDA and ERIC MAKUNGU and in defense is HAPPY NSIKU and MATTHEWS BANDA.

EMMANUEL MWANZA, a NAPSA striker who scored three goals at the U17 AFCON 2023, has also made the squad with his fellow U17 graduates AARON PHIRI, SEKANJI SIAME , PERKINS MWALE , TRYSON BANDA and AARON SIMPASA .

MULWANDA has also summoned FOSTINE MWENYA of Aero Strikers for defense.

For the midfielder position, MULWANDA picked DAVID SIMUKONDA of ZESCO United, while BENSON KAPESHI of Atletico Lusaka has also made it to the final squad.

PASCAL PHIRI from Zesco United, PATRICK SIMWINGA of Red Arrows and HENRY MBUTI of River Plate will lead the attack.

ZAMBIA plays the first game against ANGOLA on Friday 27th September 2024 before entertaining NAMIBIA on October 1st, 2024.

The Under 20 COSAFA also serves as qualifiers for the Under 20 AFCON.
