Cricket team invited for tournament in Kenya
The Zambia Cricket National Team has been invited to a four-day friendly tournament in Kenya.
Zambia Cricket Union President ZUBER PATEL says this is the first time that the team will be participating in an international tournament after a long absence from the Sport.
PATEL says the journey to get back has been so challenging but expressed happiness that the team is back and that the four-day tournament will provide an opportunity for the team to regain its skills.
Speaking at a press briefing held at the National Sports Council of Zambia, PATEL said other teams that will be participating at the four-day tournament are Uganda, Kenya and Malawi.
And, Zambia Sports Council Acting Secretary General RAPHAEL MULENGA is happy that the game of cricket is back and that all issues have been resolved.
Meanwhile, Zambia Cricket Union Executive Committee Member YOUNUS ESSA has named a 15-member team that includes, Team Manager GODFREY KANDELA and Team Coach ISAAC MWABA.
